How to reset BIOS Password

Some time User put a BIOS password for their safety because no one can change the system setting. However you can still do it. But warning is that this trick is use only on your PC.

What is BIOS?

BIOS means Basic Input Output System, is a firmware code run by your computer when first time powered on. It is type of Boot Loader. Main function of BIOS is to identify and initialize system hardware component like Graphics card, Hard disk and Floppy.

Steps for How to Break BIOS Password?

This for Desktop:

1. Shutdown the computer and take out all Plugs connected to electricity.
2. Open your CPU cabinet and See the CMOS battery on the motherboard. It is look like a Silver circular battery just like a button cell.

3. Remove the battery and keep it out for some 2-3 minute as this will flush out the CMOS memory which stores the BIOS password and all other configuration.
4. Now put your battery on its position and start computer normally.

This for Laptop:

1. Open the BIOS at the time of booting your laptop.
2. There are some backdoor passwords which are set by manufacturer that will be accepted by the BIOS. Try to find your Password list.

List of AMI BIOS Backdoor Passwords:
